You're living in a small town The people there are cold Just living in a small town Just doing as you're told. You move up to the jungle You find that it's a hell When you slip, you fall, you stumble They lock you in a cell. Hey you, you've got it made Hey you, you've got it made Hey you, all your friends told you in your small town Hey you, you've got it made. Just living in your home town Sometimes it's kind of cruel Living in your home town Where they treat you like a fool
Nightlife is the fourth studio album by Irish band Thin Lizzy, released in 1974. It was produced by Ron Nevison and bandleader Phil Lynott, and was the first album to feature the band as a quartet with newcomers Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson on guitars. Some reissue CDs, and occasionally other sources, spell the album title as Night Life, the same as the song title. However the original album title is Nightlife. The song "Philomena" was written for Lynott's mother.
Thin Lizzy are a hard rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist and lead vocalist Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott led the group throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums, writing most of the material. The singles "Whiskey in the Jar" (a traditional Irish ballad), "Jailbreak", and "The Boys Are Back in Town" were major international hits.

The second side, however, is comprised almost entirely of bland filler, such as "Having a Good Time," "Didn't I," and "Hey Yo. While it's not their worst album (that "honor" would go to their next studio album, 1981's Renegade), Chinatown should have been a lot better, especially coming off such a stellar release as Black Rose.
