All Our Own Work is a studio album by Sandy Denny and the Strawbs. Recorded in 1967 but not released until 1973, it contains an early recording of one of Sandy Denny's best known songs "Who Knows Where the Time Goes". Denny later recorded this song as a member of Fairport Convention. On My Way" (Dave Cousins) – 3:03. Who Knows Where the Time Goes" (Sandy Denny) – 4:04. Tell Me What You See in Me" (Cousins) – 3:38. Always on My Mind" (Tony Hooper) – 1:51. Stay Awhile with Me" (Cousins) – 2:24.

Sandy Denny and the Strawbs is a compilation album of songs by Sandy Denny and Strawbs. The album is a reworking of tapes recorded by the band in Copenhagen in the July 1967. Tracks from those recordings were first released on the Pickwick budget label in 1973 under the name All Our Own Work. The track listing on this album is slightly different and some of the songs have the original string arrangements that also were recorded in 1967. Nothing Else Will Do" (Dave Cousins) – 2:25.

The album was re-released as Sandy Denny and the Strawbs in 1991, with slightly revised tracks. Sweetling", which sees Hooper sounding more than a little like George Harrison, and "Wild strawberries", a banjo picking number, were dropped. They were replaced by "I've been my own worst friend" the sorry tale of "Poor Jimmy Wilson", and "Two weeks last summer", a slightly trippy, Pentangle like number, which became the title of Cousins only solo album. All Our Own Work' represents the earliest studio work of the Strawbs, shortened from the Strawberry Hill Boys around the same time band leader Dave Cousins heard the young and aspiring singer-songwriter Sandy Denny at an acoustic folk show and promptly convinced her to join the group.

All Our Own Work hit the marketplace midway through 1973 in a cheap sleeve with brief, offhand notes from Cousins and fell out of print by the end of the decade. Before this album, the band was the Strawberry Hill Boys, a bluegrass band. The Strawbs found Sandy Denny to record this album, which combines elements of folk, bluegrass and rock music. The three lead singers-Dave Cousins, Tony Hooper and Denny-was a great idea in the 1960s (remember the Beatles?) and would be a signature of many later Strawbs releases. This re-issue CD extends the original release by adding songs that were either unreleased or were attempted with strings accompaniment.

Has the Artists as "Sandy Denny & The Strawbs" on the spine of the sleeve, and "The Strawbs featuring Sandy Denny" on the labels. Sandy Denny & The Strawbs - All Our Own Work ‎(2xLP, Album, RE, RM, Gat).

All Our Own Work is a studio album by Sandy Denny and the Strawbs. Recorded in 1967, but unreleased until 1973, it contains an early recording of one of Sandy Denny's best known songs "Who Knows Where the Time Goes". The 2010 reissue on CD is produced by Chris Tsangarides and contains the following additional tracks: "Two Weeks Last Summer" (Cousins) (Sandy Denny lead vocal) – 2:18. Nothing Else Will Do" (Cousins) (Sandy Denny lead vocal) – 2:13. Tell Me What You See in Me" (Cousins) (with sitar and percussion) – 3:36. Who Knows Where the Time Goes" (Denny) (original complete recording with string section) – 4:06. Stay Awhile with Me" (Cousins) (original complete recording with string section) – 2:24. And You Need Me" (Cousins).

Before the year was out, Sandy & the Strawbs landed a deal with a small label based in Denmark and recorded an album, though a few months after it was released, Denny parted ways with the Strawbs and joined Fairport Convention, replacing founding vocalist Judy Dyble. And if the Strawbs are somewhat outclassed by Denny on this album, here Cousins is a more than capable singer, a splendid guitarist, and a strong tunesmith who offers up gems like "I've Been My Own Worst Friend," "Tell Me What You See in Me," and "Two Weeks Last Summer. Cousins' bandmates Tony Hooper and Ron Chesterman also shine on the instrumental features.

However, this meticulously compiled reissue will ensure that this part of her output will at last get the proper consideration it deserves. Recorded on a brief stopover during a short tour of Denmark in 1967, the resulting album remained unreleased until 1973. It was then rushed out on a budget label to cash-in on The Strawbs’ sudden success in the singles charts with tracks from their Bursting at the Seams album of the same year
